Gear pump repair for hydraulic and process pumps — external and internal gear designs, wear plates, bushings, seals and gear sets.
Gear pump repair covers both external gear pumps (two meshing spur or helical gears in a close-tolerance housing) and internal gear designs. Loss of flow, cavitation noise, shaft seal leakage and pressure fade almost always trace to the same short list: worn gear faces, scored wear plates, worn bushings or bores, and failed shaft seals.
Rebuild scope typically includes disassembly and cleaning, dimensional check of gear OD and face width against print, wear plate and bushing replacement, housing bore inspection and restoration, new shaft seals and gaskets, reassembly to running clearance, then a flow and pressure test on the bench before shipping.
Hydraulic gear pumps on mobile and press equipment, process gear pumps on asphalt, polymer, adhesive and chemical duty, and lube-oil gear pumps on turbines and compressors are all routine work. Where a pump is inexpensive and in stock, we say replace it — you get the repair number and the replacement number side by side.
